# pbx_sat — prebuilt packages
Prebuilt **`.deb`** and **`.rpm`** packages for
**[pbx_sat](https://git.sa7aux.se/bjorne/pbx-sat)**, the direct PBX ↔ SVXReflector
bridge (`chan_pbx_sat`) — no AllStar in the path. Install these to build your own
PBX ↔ SVX trunk.
This repo holds **only built packages**, no source. The source lives in the
private `pbx-sat` repo. **x86_64 only** (PBX boxes are x86).
Two packages:
- **`chan-pbx-sat`** — the driver (`chan_pbx_sat.so`) + a sample
`/etc/asterisk/pbx_sat.conf` and the setup guide. Works on any Asterisk box.
- **`pbxsat-freepbx`** — the **FreePBX web GUI** (admin module *Connectivity →
PBX ⇄ SVX* + a dashboard status widget). Install it **too** on a FreePBX box;
it deploys into the web root via `fwconsole` and depends on `chan-pbx-sat`.
Not needed on a plain-Asterisk box (configure `pbx_sat.conf` by hand).
## Debian 12 / 13 (`debs/`)
```sh
# the driver (required):
sudo apt install ./debs/chan-pbx-sat_<version>~<suite>_amd64.deb
# the FreePBX GUI (on a FreePBX box):
sudo apt install ./debs/pbxsat-freepbx_<version>~<suite>_all.deb
```
`<suite>` is `bookworm` (Debian 12) or `trixie` (Debian 13). Built against the
box's Asterisk.
## CentOS / RHEL 7 / 8 / 9 (`rpms/`)
```sh
# the driver (required):
sudo dnf install ./rpms/chan-pbx-sat-<version>.<asttag>.<dist>.x86_64.rpm
# the FreePBX GUI (on a FreePBX box):
sudo dnf install ./rpms/pbxsat-freepbx-<version>.<asttag>.<dist>.noarch.rpm
```
One driver RPM per (distro, Asterisk major):
| File | Distro | Asterisk |
|------|--------|----------|
| `…ast22.el9…` | CentOS Stream 9 | 22 |
| `…ast22.el8…` | CentOS Linux 8 | 22 |
| `…ast18.el7…` | CentOS Linux 7 | 18 |
| `…ast16.el7…` | CentOS Linux 7 | 16 |
## After install
The driver does not load until you enable it:
1. `cp /etc/asterisk/pbx_sat.conf.sample /etc/asterisk/pbx_sat.conf` and edit it
(or use the FreePBX GUI if you installed `pbxsat-freepbx`).
2. Uncomment `load = chan_pbx_sat.so` in `/etc/asterisk/modules.conf`.
3. Point a dialplan route at `PBXSAT/<trunk>/<tg>`.
4. `asterisk -rx "core restart now"` then `asterisk -rx "pbxsat show"`.
Full guide: `/usr/share/doc/chan-pbx-sat/HOWTO.md`.
